German manufacturers Cube are one of the few companies who understand the needs of every cyclist, creating perfect bikes which always meets the specifications of a professional whilst also producing the perfect bike for recreational cyclists. The Cube Aerial 2011 possess features which a professional cyclist demands but combines the needs of a leisure cyclist who wants to find comfort and fun in their bikes.

The Cube Aerial 2011 is a reliable and fun bike; the frame is an Aluminium Superlite 7005 AMF Double Butted construction that has been built using Cube’s advanced technological methods and only weighs a remarkable 9.6 kilograms, making it one of the lightest road bike ever created. This remarkably light bike shows Cube’s dedication to providing an impressive entry level bike. The lightness of the bike ensures that it is easy to climb but also extremely fast on declines and flat landscapes. The bike is very light when compared to other bikes on the market, it maintains a high level of firmness, our tests showed little flex when pedalling a high speeds.

The bike features a Shimano Hollowtech bottom bracket and chainset, these high quality features guarantee an excellent amount of energy transfer between the cyclist and bike. The bike features the custom made RFR Aluminium fork, this feature greatly improves steering of the bike, which handles corners beautifully. While the precision FSA semi-integrated headset improves the steering of the bike. Our testers were very impressed with the Cube Aerial’s braking performance, using Shimano Sora BR-3400 brakes; the brakes were quick and reactive. Few manufacturers put as much effort and dedication into their entry level bikes compared to Cube’s Aerial, the manufacturer has succeeded in creating a dynamic bike which includes a lot of the features found on high end racing bikes, therefore performing to the same level as racing bikes but maintains its simplicity for a recreational cyclists.
